To further support the implementation of “One Country Two systems” and to better integrate Hong Kong into the National Development, The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) collaborates with The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK(SZ)) in offering the comprehensive Collaborative Double Major Programme (CDMP). CUHK students enrolled in CDMP will pursue a major at CUHK along with another major offered by CUHK or CUHK(SZ). They will attend classes and participate in learning and research activities at both the Hong Kong campus and the Shenzhen campus.

It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce a brand new education mode, the CUHK’ s innovative 2+2 programmes, which are designed to prepare students for the challenges of tomorrow by combining rigorous academic training with real-world experience. Through their unique structure, students will spend two years in Hong Kong and two years at CUHK(Shenzhen), gaining invaluable exposure to the vibrant Greater Bay Area. These programmes are committed to equipping students with cutting-edge knowledge, interdisciplinary skills, strong industry connections, and full-time work experience.
The first two such programmes are the Interdisciplinary Data Analytics & X Double Major Programme (IDADM) and the Aerospace Science and Earth Informatics & X Double Major Programme (ASEIDM), which were founded in 2023 and 2024, respectively. Launched in the 2025-26 academic year, the latest addition is the Materials Science and Engineering & X Double Major Programme (MASEDM).
I am confident that these programmes will empower students to push boundaries, embrace opportunities, and contribute meaningfully to society. I encourage you to explore these exciting offerings and take the first step toward an extraordinary academic and professional journey.
Founded in 2014 with approval from China’s Ministry of Education, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen (CUHK-Shenzhen) inherits CUHK’s academic excellence while pioneering a globally connected, high-quality education model. It integrates Eastern and Western learning, fostering innovative talent with Chinese cultural roots and global vision.
